As many of you know, June 26-July 29th I will be joining a group through an organization called Hosea’s Heart Inc., to travel to Swaziland, Africa.  Hosea’s Heart aims to restore hope and healing through the values of our Christian Faith, for sexually abused or at risk young women.  On our trip we will be immersing ourselves in the culture and spiritual environment in Swaziland.  We will be working at the Hope for Life Home, where we will be spending time and praying with women and girls from the home.  We will also be visiting local care points and spending time with kids, and tutoring in one of the schools. To learn more about Hosea's Heart, Inc visit www.hoseasheart.org.

Over the past few months of fundraising I have been once again amazed at how good the God we serve is!  He provides and my trip is fully funded!! Praise God!  If you would still like to partner with me in this mission financially you may make a donation to Hosea's Heart Inc.  The Hope for Life home is run through Hosea’s Heart and the girls that live there are also supported through donation.  The address for Hosea’s Heart  is  4001 Nakoosa Trail, Suite 203 Madison, WI 53714.  I encourage you to visit the website listed above to learn more about the mission and vision behind Hosea’s Heart and the Hope for Life home!

We recently had a fundraiser, and I was able to meet some of the amazing people I will travel to Swazi with.  They are wonderful, with hearts full of love for Christ.  We will fly from Chicago to Amsterdam, to Paris (layover in Paris spend a day there!!)  We will fly into Johannesburg, South Africa that night and then make our way to Manzini, Swaziland.

What a Beautiful Dinner Fundraiser.

When Mary-Kate asked us why we were going and what we were most looking forward to, it was neat to hear and share answers... I am ready for God to break my heart for what breaks His heart, and to be  in an environment that is so foreign to me.  As I emotionally and spiritually prepare for this trip, I ask that you will keep me in your prayers.  Please pray for God to prepare my heart, mind and body.  Pray that our team will use our strengths to their full potential and truly bond together.  Above all, pray for the women and girls of Swaziland that we will work with, all those we encounter, and for the finances to come together.  I thank you in advance for all your prayers and support, as I take a leap of faith trusting in God’s love, kindness, goodness and faithfulness. May He break our hearts for Him.
